Hate to interrupt the "Who is Dr D" marathon, but gotta RACK IL for this thread.

SCIII was outstanding. The posts would fly so fast that if your thread didn't get in the rotation of replies, it would be on page 2 within an hour.

I started reading the board in August, 2000 - right before the Fall Smack-Off, and was blown away. I had never seen a ubb message board before, and was amazed at the pictures, smilies, humor, and general rancor. After about a month and a half of reading, I had to register.

On about my 5th post, I decided to flame somebody, and tried an IB type of post. The ubb code was so fucked up that it made the post completely unreadable, and I didn't know how to change it, so I tried again, and fucked it up worse. Unfortunately, I had chosen canibus as my target, and got my ass handed to me in a fairly brutal fashion. After that, I stuck to hurling RACKs at Python until I got my sea legs.

That's the biggest problem with the boards today - no new blood. You won't have somebody like a Pogue Mahone stumbling in here and dropping epic thread after epic thread. And recruiting posters from other boards isn't necessarily the answer either - I prefer actual newbies who have never seen a message board before, and take their time working their way in.

Anyway, PROPS to the entire SCIII crowd. Keep clicking those heels together. Maybe we can go home again.

I read the board for about 3 months before I registered. Then it took me about another 3 months to actually start posting. I didn't know if I could take the smack, but finally got brave enough. I thought it would be fun - an outlet to act like a tard and get into lame cat fights with people I didn't know. It was kinda fun and I actually learned from the experience. I got somewhat of a backbone. I could use a little more slapping, maybe I'll start a thread and let you guys have at me. As smackie said in another thread, maybe it's good to be combative at times. I'm really not a fighter, maybe you guys can tell?

I call bullshit, Dr. DeImposter. There is no way humanly possible that the real Dr. Detroit could have been posting on two seperate message boards while SCIII was up and running.
